Product Introduction:

HQ-6615 is a hydrophobically modified alkali-swellable associative thickener. It can remarkably boost the low-shear viscosity of coatings even at low dosage, and endow coatings with high viscosity and plastic decorative texture.

Application Fields:

Suitable for stone texture coatings, elastic textured coatings, texture coatings, high-build coatings, glossy and semi-gloss coatings, paper & textile processing and finishing, non-woven fabric adhesives, water-based baking coatings, etc.

Usage & Dosage:

Recommended dosage: 0.1–1% based on total formula mass. Adjust system pH to 8–9, dilute with water at a ratio of 1:3~4 before addition. To achieve excellent gloss development, add it prior to emulsion feeding. Ideal for medium and high PVC systems including stone coatings, elastic textured coatings, texture coatings and topcoats.

Performance Features:

Efficient low-shear viscosity build-up;

High thickening efficiency for emulsions, strong pseudoplasticity and excellent thixotropy;

Good compatibility with emulsions, delivers high gloss and improves anti-splashing performance;

Excellent resistance to water whitening, optimized rheological behavior, outstanding sag resistance, good anti-settling property and superior texture retention;

Free of organic solvents and heavy metals, can partially replace cellulose thickeners, and features strong resistance to microbial and mold degradation.


Packaging, Storage & Transportation:

Packed in 25 KG / 1000 KG plastic drums. The shelf life is 24 months from production date when stored in unopened original containers at 5℃ to 40℃.
