Polyurethane Thickener HQ-6105

Product Introduction:

HQ-6105 is a new-generation nonionic associative thickener modified with hydrophobic groups based on polyurethane. Its performance is basically pH-independent and applicable over a wide pH range.

Application Fields:

Interior and exterior wall coating formulas, spray-applied coating formulas, as well as acrylic and vinyl acetate-acrylic emulsion systems of high-gloss, semi-gloss, satin and flat finishes.

Usage & Dosage:

Can be added directly or diluted with 1:1 ethylene glycol / propylene glycol aqueous solution before use; the recommended dosage accounts for 0.3%–1% of the total formula mass.

Performance Features:


Free of organotin compounds and APEO; resistant to degradation by microorganisms and enzymes;

Excellent thickening efficiency at low shear, coupled with outstanding medium-shear (KU) thickening efficiency;

Superior sag resistance and good in-can body;

Excellent paint pick-up for brushes and rollers, great sag resistance and attractive in-can appearance;

Outstanding water resistance, alkali resistance, scrub resistance, stain resistance, corrosion resistance and water exudation resistance;

Excellent hiding power, uniform film thickness and rich film fullness without impairing coating gloss.


Packaging, Storage & Transportation:

Packed in 25 KG / 1000 KG plastic drums. The shelf life is 24 months from production date when stored in unopened original containers at 5℃ to 40℃.
