Brightener HQ-4196

Brightener HQ-4196

Product Introduction:

HQ-4196 is an anionic water-based additive featuring water resistance, oil resistance, scratch resistance and anti-blocking properties. With unique self-crosslinking film-forming property at ambient temperature, it can boost coating gloss. When compounded with non-film-forming emulsions, it effectively acts as a film-forming aid to optimize coating performance.

Application Fields:

Coatings, printing inks, adhesives, plastic processing, leather finishing, textile finishing and other systems.

Usage & Dosage:

The dosage in coatings ranges from 3% to 10% based on total formula weight. It shall be fully homogenized in advance and slowly added under gentle stirring during the final production stage.

Performance Features:

Dramatically improve coating performance: After adding HQ-4196, the water resistance, scratch resistance, anti-blocking property and surface smoothness of coatings are greatly enhanced. Subject to different systems, no whitening or peeling occurs after 24 h room-temperature water immersion; pencil hardness increases by ≥1H; no continuous scratches after 50 cycles with 0000# steel wool under 500 g load.

Boost coating gloss: Effectively raises coating gloss for brighter film appearance. The 60° gloss value can be increased by 10–30 units (varies with systems).

High compatibility: Good miscibility with various water-based resins for easy blending.

Self-film-forming property: Capable of forming film at ambient temperature without extra film-forming agents.

Eco-friendly & safe: Free of APEO, NMP and DMEA; VOC of finished formulation can be controlled ≤5 g/L for safe application.

Packaging, Storage & Transportation:

Packed in 25 KG / 1000 KG plastic drums. The shelf life is 24 months from the production date when stored in unopened original containers at 5℃–40℃.
