Adhesion Promoter HQ-4492

Adhesion Promoter HQ-4492

Product Introduction:

HQ-4492 is an EAA modified additive compatible with ethanol, which can improve the adhesion of printing inks and coating films to various substrates. Thanks to its excellent flexibility and low thermal activation temperature, it is also applicable in adhesive systems.

Application Fields:

Printing inks, coating films, adhesives, packaging materials, coatings for films, aluminum foils and other substrates, etc.

Usage & Dosage:

The recommended dosage accounts for 3%–8% of the total formula weight. The exact dosage shall be determined by tests according to substrates and main resin systems. Add slowly directly during production, and disperse evenly under low-speed stirring to avoid excessive foam generation.

Performance Features:

Excellent adhesion promotion: Greatly improves adhesion of inks and coatings on various hard-to-adhere substrates (such as PE, PP, PET, BOPP films, aluminum foils and treated metal surfaces), eliminating coating peeling and delamination.

Superior ethanol compatibility: Fully miscible with ethanol, ideal for flexographic printing inks and alcohol-soluble coatings requiring alcohol dilution, expanding formulation flexibility.

Low thermal activation temperature: Low initial heat-sealing temperature (approx. 170°C–200°C) enables fast heat sealing to boost production efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

Outstanding flexibility: Highly flexible film accommodates substrate bending and stretching to prevent cracking from folding or impact, especially suitable for flexible packaging and laminated films.

Good oil resistance: Endows coatings with moderate grease resistance, applicable to food packaging inks and coatings.

Safe & eco-friendly: Free of APEO and heavy metals, ultra-low VOC, compliant with FDA/EU food contact regulations.
