Eco-Friendly Wetting Agent HQ-1090

Product Introduction:

HQ-1090 is an eco-friendly wetting agent for water-based coatings with low VOC, free of APEO and alkylphenol ethoxylate. Its main components are mixtures based on isomeric alcohols. It delivers excellent wetting performance for all kinds of pigments and fillers, and effectively prevents color bleeding and flooding in water-based coating systems.

Application Fields:

Architectural coatings, water-based inks and industrial coatings, container & rail transit coatings, automotive and wind power coatings, etc.

Usage & Dosage:

Add 0.05~1.0% (as supplied) based on total coating mass; the exact dosage shall be determined by lab tests. Antifreeze agent is incorporated for convenient use, so it remains liquid above 5℃ and can be added directly. If solidified under low temperature, thaw with hot water or heating before addition. Direct addition under solidified state will drastically reduce its efficiency.

Performance Features:

Low VOC, APEO-free and alkylphenol ethoxylate-free, compliant with environmental standards, harmless to human body and eco-friendly;

Excellent wetting capacity for various pigments and fillers, inhibiting coating defects such as color bleeding and flooding during application;

Improves coating adhesion to substrates to guarantee long-term durability and reliability of coating films;

Effectively eliminates film defects including craters and fish eyes, enhancing surface smoothness and appearance of coatings;

Stable within pH range of 6–10, compatible with various water-based resin systems.

 

Packaging, Storage & Transportation:

Packed in 25 KG / 100 KG plastic drums. The shelf life is 24 months from production date when stored in unopened original containers at 5℃–40℃.
