Wetting Agent HQ-1405

Wetting Agent HQ-1405

Product Introduction:

HQ-1405 is a special long-chain nonionic wetting agent with extremely superior wetting performance. It provides excellent surface wetting effect on inorganic pigments and fillers, and delivers outstanding color development for carbon black. It helps dispersants achieve prominent initial viscosity reduction, and is especially suitable as a high-HLB emulsifying stabilizer in latex paint formulations.

Application Fields:

Interior & exterior wall latex paints, various water-based industrial coatings including wood coatings and anti-rust coatings, water-based inks and topcoats, pigment color pastes, waterproof adhesives, etc.

Usage & Dosage:

Add 0.1~0.5% (as supplied) based on total coating mass; the recommended dosage for most formulations is 0.3%, and the exact dosage shall be determined by laboratory tests. It is advised to add it together with pigments, fillers and partial water before grinding and dispersion to fully exert its wetting and viscosity-reducing effects.

Performance Features:

Excellent wetting capacity: Delivers superior surface wetting on inorganic pigments and fillers, quickly wetting particles for better dispersion in the system. It provides outstanding color development for carbon black to realize uniform dispersion and rich color shade in coatings.

Remarkable auxiliary viscosity reduction: Assists dispersants to achieve excellent initial viscosity reduction, optimizes coating processability, simplifies production operation and raises production efficiency.

Outstanding stabilizing performance: As a high-HLB emulsifying stabilizer, it greatly improves wetting stability and overall dispersion stability in latex paint formulas, avoiding delamination, sedimentation and other defects during storage and application.

Improved film quality: Effectively boosts gloss and texture of coating films, resulting in smoother, brighter finished surfaces and better appearance.

Freeze-thaw resistance: Endows coatings with excellent freeze-thaw stability to maintain stable performance under varied temperatures and diverse climatic conditions.
