Product Introduction:

HQ-2025 is an in-can biocidal preservative compounded with methylisothiazolinone and benzisothiazolinone via proprietary formula technology. It is widely applied in industrial water-based products to inhibit spoilage caused by bacteria, yeasts and fungi.

Application Fields:

Daily chemicals, polymer emulsions, coatings, adhesives and pigment dispersions, especially systems sensitive to divalent ions.

Usage & Dosage:

The recommended dosage ranges from 0.05% to 0.6%, adjustable according to ambient conditions and temperature. The dosage shall be appropriately increased under high temperature. Lab testing is recommended for first-time application.

Appearance: Colorless to light yellow liquid

Odor: Characteristic odor

pH Value (20℃): 8.0–9.5

Solubility: Readily soluble in water, most low-molecular alcohols and ethylene glycol

Performance Features:

Synergistic & high-efficiency broad-spectrum performance: Compound system of methylisothiazolinone and benzisothiazolinone delivers synergistic effect to greatly boost bactericidal efficiency;

Wide adaptability to pH and temperature: Maintains stable active ingredients within pH 2.0–10.0, matching acid-base environments of most water-based products. It features excellent thermal stability and withstands production and filling temperature up to 80℃;

Excellent compatibility: Compatible with various water-based resins, surfactants and formulation additives. It hardly causes flocculation, delamination or discoloration, especially suitable for precise systems sensitive to divalent ions;

Comprehensive antibacterial spectrum: Strong inhibitory effect against Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus), molds (Aspergillus niger, Penicillium) and yeasts (Saccharomyces cerevisiae).

 

Packaging, Storage & Transportation:

Packed in 25 KG / 1000 KG plastic drums. The shelf life is 24 months from the production date when stored in unopened original containers at 5℃–40℃.
